Arundel, June 15, 2025 – The Municipality of the Township of Arundel is very proud to announce the conclusion of a new intermunicipal service agreement between the Arundel First Responders and the Municipality of the Township of Harrington.

The agreement will enable the Arundel First Responders Level 3 service to serve close to 1,500 households on the territory of the Municipalité du Canton de Harrington, in addition to those on Arundel territory.

Arundel is celebrating Canada Day in grand style this year.

The 2025 celebrations will take place from Friday, June 28 to Tuesday, July 1, 2025, with many events and activities at the Arundel Canadian Legion, the Arundel United Church and in municipal parks.

A jam-packed program, especially on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, awaits you. Following the parade on the aerobic corridor from Beaven Creek Park at 12:30 p.m., head to the municipal garage park for a wide range of activities, from family sports to cultural events: musical, theatrical and even circus performances! Ice cream, birthday cake, BBQ lunch and more will be served/available all afternoon until 10:30.

Season 4 kicks off on Wednesday, June 11, 2025!

The Soccer+ 2025 season starts with soccer and kick soccer. Other team sports may be played depending on the number and interest of participants. Parents are invited to participate as numbers permit. Training takes place rain or shine (except in the event of thunderstorms or extreme heat). Follow us on Facebook for any cancellation. Free BBQ for participants and parents. It is strictly forbidden to make noise from firecrackers or fireworks on the territory of the Municipality of Arundel, unless you are a non-profit or public organization and have obtained authorization at least 30 days before the special event. You must comply with the other conditions set out in Appendix 5.6 of the Municipality’s nuisance by-law 277.

Failure to comply with this by-law may result in a fine of $200 to $1,000, and double that amount for a repeat offence or for a legal entity.

 5.6. Bruit provenant de pièce pyrotechnique

Constitue une infraction et est prohibé le fait de causer du bruit provenant d’une pièce pyrotechnique, en faisant usage ou en permettant de faire usage de pièce pyrotechnique (pétard ou feu d’artifice), sans détenir une autorisation de la municipalité.

 La municipalité peut autoriser l’autorisation de pièce pyrotechnique aux conditions édictées à l’annexe 5.6 du présent règlement.

 La municipalité autorise l’utilisation de pièce pyrotechnique dans le cadre d’un événement spécial qui respecte les conditions suivantes :

 1° La demande émane d’un organisme public ou d’un organisme sans but lucratif ;

 2° La demande est présentée par écrit au fonctionnaire désigné au plus tard 30 jours avant la tenue de l’événement ;

 3° La personne responsable de l’événement doit s’assurer de la sécurité des lieux et de l’utilisation sécuritaire des pièces pyrotechnique ;

 4° Aucune obstruction d’un chemin public ne doit avoir lieu au cours de cet événement, de façon à ce que les véhicules routiers puissent circuler librement sur les chemins publics.

7.2. Amende

Toute personne physique qui contrevient à l’une ou l’autre des dispositions du présent règlement commet une infraction et est passible d’une amende minimale de 200$ et maximale de 1 000$ pour une première infraction et d’une amende minimale de 400$ et maximale de 2 000$ pour toute récidive.
