Year 2025
We look forward to 2025, having achieved most of our major objectives for 2024:
- the completion of Phase I of the roadwork on Chemin de la Rouge, thus completing the TECQ 2019-2024 plan;
- the purchase of a new first responder vehicle;
- the allocation of a weekend on-call bonus to first responders.
In 2025, we will be able to take advantage of the new TECQ subsidy program (2024-2028) to complete the major rehabilitation of Chemin de la Rouge (Phase II).
We’ll also be painting the exterior of the Town Hall and restoring the seniors’ apartments there, to bring the Citizen Home back to life and enable it to be rented out in accordance with our rental policy prioritizing low-income seniors on our territory.
Arundel’s level 3 first responder service continues to serve our own territory, and a new agreement for the provision of service by Arundel’s first responders is currently being negotiated with other neighbouring or nearby municipalities.
On that note, I invite you to consult our list of special projects for 2025 and to follow our three-year plan 2025-2027, adopted in December 2024. https://arundel.ca/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Budget-PPT-20025.pdf
Happy New Year 2025 to all!
Pascale Blais, Mayor of Arundel (since 2017)
