Tribute to our Elders 2024 – commemorative plaque unveiling

In tribute to our Arundel seniors, 4 hand encraved commemorative brass plaques, to be installed on our public benches (aerobic corridor and waterfront), were unveiled on July 1, 2024, during Arundel’s Canada Day opening ceremonies. The Municipality of Arundel honours and thanks Vera Janes Evans (99 years), Frances Jones (dedicated volunteer), Heather Hodge (contributions to the community) and Pierre Lemieux (founder of the renowned Camp les Débrouillards d’Arundel).

New: an energy-saving light switch dial

NEW at Beaven Creek Park : an energy-saving playground light switch dial.
Set the lighting duration by turning the dial. Each number counts as an hour.

It takes about 10 minutes for the lights to come on completely. They will automatically switch off at 10:00 p.m. or earlier, depending on the length of time you have programmed.

 

Renewal and enhancement of the Day Camp Fees Program

Here is the renewed and enhanced Program for partial reimbursement of day camp fees by the Municipality of the Township of Arundel 2024, for children aged 5 to 15, residents of Arundel.

Renewal of Senior Accompaniment and Transportation financial assistance program

Seniors Accompaniment and Transportation Program (2024-01-11)

On January 23, 2024, the Arundel municipal council renewed its free transportation program for seniors’ medical appointments (and half-price for distances over 400 km), continuing its successful collaboration with the Centre d’action bénévole des Laurentides (CABL) de Mont-Tremblant.

Renewal of the Reimbursement of certain non-resident financial assistance Program

Partial reimbursement of non-resident fees for certain sporting activities and other fees by the Municipality of the Township of Arundel 2024 Program (resolution 2024-01-010)

In order to encourage the practice of physical activities among young people (maximum $325/year) and adults (maximum $200/year), limit of $650 per family/year and to facilitate access to sports facilities not offered in Arundel, the Municipality reimburses a portion of additional fees for non-residents. It also wishes to grant financial assistance to a young person participating in a provincial final of the Quebec Games (maximum $250/year) and to a humanitarian school trip organized by a recognized educational institution (maximum $100/year).
