SAVE LIVES!

The ARUNDEL FIRST RESPONDERS SERVICE, serving the municipalities of Arundel, Barkmere, Huberdeau and Montcalm, is looking for candidates to join its team of first responders.

SUMMARY OF TASKS

Reporting to the Arundel First Responder Service Director, the first responder provides basic medical support during medical emergencies. The duties of this position include:

  • Respond to emergency calls as available;
  • Participate actively in training exercises;
  • Perform all other job-related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years of age or older;
  • Have her/his principal residence on the territory served by the Arundel First Responders Service;
  • Commit to completing 60 hours of first responder training;
  • Meet physical and medical requirements;
  • Possess a valid class 4A or 5* driver’s licence and a motor vehicle, or commit to obtaining them within 6 months of hiring. (*Class 5 accepted with commitment to acquire a class 4A.)

Come and meet us at the Town Hall during the open house, carve a pumpkin and light up Beaven Creek Park behind the Town Hall, and then stroll along the Great Walk of Horrors that wanders through the park and its recesses, filled with scares, surprises and spooky music.
