[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/1″]The Leisure and Culture Department is responsible for activities related to culture, sports and outdoor activities, as well as community life, which contribute directly to the quality of life, to the development of the citizens’ sense of belonging and to the enhancement of its heritage and history.<\/p>\n

Attentive to current and emerging needs, the municipality collaborates with local associations and organizations, as well as with neighbouring municipalities, in order to develop and carry out joint projects, maintaining and improving the quality of life of the community.<\/p>\n

Schedule<\/h3>\n

The opening of the outdoor rink is weather dependent. Weather permitting, the rink will open in mid-December. The season will then end usually at the end of Spring Break.<\/p>\n

The new energy-saving light switch dial<\/strong><\/h3>\n

New at Beaven Creek Park since May 8th<\/sup>, 2024 : an energy-saving playground light switch dial.<\/p>\n

After dark and until 10 p.m., set the lighting duration by turning the dial. Each number counts as an hour.<\/p>\n

It takes about 10 minutes for the lights to come on completely. They will automatically switch off at 10:00 p.m. or earlier, depending on the length of time you have programmed.<\/p>\n

Conditions and steps necessary for the preparation of an outdoor ice rink<\/h3>\n

Weather Conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n

The outside temperature must be at least -8\u00b0C during the day and between -10\u00b0C and -15\u00b0C at night<\/p>\n

This temperature must be maintained for 3 or 4 consecutive days<\/p>\n
